Put out by Maxwell House. "The thrill is the CHILL". It was an iced capuccino flavoured drink with enough caffeine to power a small town all night. Sold in a 4pack - pre-coursor to Starbucks cold coffee drinks, and much better. It was sweet not bitter and very creamy. Yum. But it's gone forever. *sob*

The following are comments left about Cappio from site visitors such as yourself. They are not spell checked or reviewed for accuracy. The ads were super cool, too!
The bottles were huge. I don't remember the four pack where I was. Hmmm. Maybe I was a test market.
*I could never drink one of the large single sale bottles in one sitting* but ohhh, it was super yummy. I wish that they would bring it back.
Given a choice between the two products, I would prefer Cappio instantly.
The ads WERE super-cool! I remember they had a great jazzy organ piece in them that, until that time, I had never heard (I was 14 in 1992 when Cappio was out), but I later learned it was "One Mint Julep" by Ray Charles. A damned good drink that was WAY ahead of its time.
I loved the commercials! So mod!
I would drink so much of the stuff my parents had to make sure I wasn't buying it on my own...I was only 10 at the time, but it was delicious. I don't know if its just my memory but I thought it was way better then all those new iced coffee drinks in cans.
The adds were as smooth as the drink! Check this out Cappio fans...

Thanks to hereinmylifetime for youtubing it.
I named my dog Cappio. I was addicted to that drink in 6th grade. I think my parents misread the ingredients. He was an awesome dog. cockapoo. Short and fat.
Back in my High School days, my best friend and I would sit around swigging these like they were beer. Anytime we got together, Cappio came along. Good times!
My boyfriend at the time introduced Cappio to me and it had me at first sip, which turned me into a coffee addict! I agree that it was sweeter and creamier than Starbucks. I wish it was still around.
I loved the stuff and it was SO much better than what's available now.
The part about Cappio having enough caffeine to power a small town all night is certainly true. It kept me going through a part time early morning delivery job I had I the 90's. And it was GOOD! Smoooooth, and far superior to anything Starbucks put out now! I really miss it!
What is the value of an unopened bottle of Cappio now? I have one.
One of the highlights of my PR career was promoting a casting call for "Ferdinand the Cappio Man." Kraft General Foods sponsored women's tennis then and we brought Ferdinand to the U.A. Open for a week. Hilarty ensued.
Merle, I'd love to purchase that bottle, if you still have it.
I loved, loved, loved Cappio - how I miss that drink. I wish I knew they were going to phase it out I would have stocked up!
We still talk about the "Lost Cappio Weekend" of 1993 ... babysitting a loon who was housesitting after being kicked out by his boyfriend.
Used to buy 3 cases at a time I think 4x4 bottles and me an my gf would drive all over all day long stopping here and there and drinking them. best summer ever. They went down quick, weren't overly sweet or creamy, had a hint of bitter that made you crave more and more. Sadly missed -from PA
I remember buying these in the fall of 1995. They were practically jug sized. But I'd immediately chug one in my car after the purchase. Then one day I looked for them and they weren't in stock. Returned a week later and still couldn't find them. That's when I realized they were gone forever.
