This soda had double the caffeine of other colas. Was very popular in the early 90's, and had a resurgence in the late 90's. Can still be found in certain regions.

User Stories and Comments
The following are comments left about jolt cola from site visitors such as yourself. They are not spell checked or reviewed for accuracy. My friends and I use to drink this alot! We loved it! It could possibly explain my addiction to coffee now though! lol
'90's Jolt was good when it was the original formula in standard 12 oz. cans, bottles, etc. They ruined their product by tainting it with weirdly flavored herbs & vitamins/amino acids then packaging it in unbelievably huge and inconvenient cans you see nowadays. Bring back the original and they'll bring back my business. Jolt, be a COLA not an "energy drink"!
ok i drank a whole two liter of this my junior year of highschool and i remember seriously feeling buzzed...lol.
Jolt was the shizz in SoCal in the 80's... dont remember it much in the 90's though. I do remember a soda that was loosely based on Mtn Dew but 50 times the sugar in the 90's. I think it was called Surge.
I still see these in cans made to look like batteries and now they got more flavors-grape some sort of mt dew type flavor cola and I think straw berry
One night at about 17 on summer vacation at the beach, I got a 6-pack of Jolt (maybe more) with a friend of mine. He took out his (huge, heavy, VHS) video camera and we started telling jokes and reciting comedy bits...and singing horribly until 3 AM. Somewhere that tape of us laughing our asses off is sitting in his closet (undigitized to a computer, maybe even ruined and unplayable by time- it was 1992 after all). I know I did a fake Jolt commercial with Cajun Man from SNL as the spokesman... "JOLTIFICATIOOOON!"
