User Stories and Comments
The following are comments left about Waffle Crisp Cereal from site visitors such as yourself. They are not spell checked or reviewed for accuracy. Dear to my heart, this is a comfort food I have occasionally, like twice a year maybe. Mmmmm, sugary, mapley, goodness, like the waffles ma used to make.
this was the best cereal ever made!
i wish they were still sold in my area like the websites state they are, but the stores tell me different
The Waffle Crisp sold in stores today is nothing compared to the ORIGINAL version, which heralded much larger cereal pieces (think Honeycomb) each with a crystal coating of pure (artificial) maple sugar goodness. Yum, yum - bring on the insulin shock. They discontinued this version somewhere around 1999 in favor of a scaled-back product with smaller squares and milder flavor (probably lower in sugar). NOT AS TASTY!!!
I am so made that Waffle Crisp cereal is not sold any where in the state of Arizona that was the best cereal ever.
This cereal is still delicious, but the bigger pieces did seem to have a little more flavor. Waffle Crisp is absolutely impossible to find in my area in Los Angeles, and when I do the cereal is ridiculously overpriced for the smallest boxes. I don't know why this cereal has to be so pricey and rare, it's gonna be a sad day when Post cans this cereal.
I used to buy Waffle Crisp at Walmart or at BiLo, now the only grocery store that still sells it is Ingles.
I love this cereal beyond words but according to store websites, the only chain that now carries it in my state (Connecticut) is A&P Supermarkets, which are nowhere near where i live.
That's true... I live in Connecticut also and I only seen it at the smaller chain stores such as A&P, Price Rite, Sav-A-Lot, and I believe C-Town might have it too!
Loved it but was the sweetest thing I've ever tasted
I love waffle crisp so much. I could live off of it, but I haven't had it in years because I can't find it in any stores!! Why get rid of the best tasting cereal in the world? It's sad that the youth of America can't experience the wonder that once was Waffle Crisp Cereal.
I thought waffle crisp was gone for good! I was talking to my husband about it, and I went to work, and he went grocery shopping and found some in an A+P grocery store in Oak Ridge, NJ. This was about 8 months ago. If you don't have an A+P near you, you might be able to order from their website. =]
There's no other cereal like it. period. It's no where to be found in stores anywhere i have to buy it online. I'll never forget this cereal. No matter the price i will buy it till its gone!
wallfle crisp. like crack, only better. and it doesn't leave you with that intense feeling of shame and regret. just a warm happy glow, and the ability to shoot high powered lasers from your eyes
i loved waffle crisp i ate is as a kid... now i refuse to eat cereal at all even in college. i hate post for taking my favorite cereal away from me!!!!
This brings back memories as a child. I used to love watching those commercials.
We have to unite and send post complaints that we want our Waffle Crisp back...we at least all have this in common. I already emailed them begging them to restock those little waffle goodies in large chain stores like Wal-Mart...WE HAVE TO UNITE!!!
THE BEST!!!!!!! i just couldnt drink the milk afterwards..and by the way NO cereal taste the way it used to. cookie crisp was another one of my favs it taste horrible now i wonder what they take out of it
Yes waffle crisp is a delectable treat that I cannot find at Giant. I have to buy it at SureFine....(Pennsylvania)
UMBELIEVABLE!!! The best cereal i ever had and no where in the state of Iowa can i find it!
Im in chicago and just found this at a local tiny neighborhood grocery store. The best part is this week all post cereals are 5 for $8! I loaded up!
Everyone we need to get together and seriosuly unite to get it back, it's so orgasmic, I honestly can't live my life normally without this delectable treat tingling my tastebuds, I loved this when I was about 8 years old, I need this cereal to function properly but I can't find it in San Diego, Gosh damnit Post, BRING OUR CEREAL BACK!
I've been searching for this cereal forever, its no where local, but you can buy it on amazon, a box of 4 for $21. Worth it to me :)
Still my fav cereal to date the best after taste in the world and the milk is fantastic after letting the cereal sit in it for a bit. In San Diego you can get it at food for less or Albertsons. Just dont buy my entire stash!
LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was the best cereal....I can't find it anywhere! Its not fair how they always take away the good stuff! (Elizabeth City, NC)
This cereal... I fell in love with it about 6-7 years ago. Now it doesn't exist. Every few month I get some from Amazon but now they jacked the price to $25. I still ordered it and my order got canceled! The cereal is going extinct!
I found some in WI at Woodmans!!!
Amazon has Waffle Crisp (4 boxes) for $15.55 no tax & free shipping if you subscribe. And EBay has Waffle Crisp and.The Original French Toast Crunch
This was so good, you could actually taste maple and butter when you ate it... I remember it got soggy super quickly though
They still sell it in Iowa
I was in Pathmark in Brooklyn New York the other night and I saw this on the shelf and I bought it instantly, to my demise it's not as good as the original, extremely small quarter-inch by a quarter inch. I forgot how much I paid but it was worth it anyway still taste delicious but again not perfect.
They sell it in West Virginia, too! I've never not been able to find it thank goodness, as my kids love it just as much as I did as a child!!
Just found this where I live (Alabama) at the Wal Market ) yum yum. I guess I missed the 90s version. This one is very tasty!
They now sell a cereal identical to Waffle Crisp called Good Morenings Waffle Crunch by Post, it tastes the exact same as the previous best tasting cereal.
The original recipe had maple syrup brown sugar cinnamon sunflower oil and they changed that around 1999 so that’s the big change
