I was born in the 90's, so I have no idea if this product came out before 1990. I just remember eating these with my brother all the time. They were little round gummies sold in packages with flavors like lemon, lime, orange, and cherry. I wasn't very fond of the berry flavors pack that came out eventually. I completely forgot about this product until I saw it a couple weeks ago in new packaging, so I guess they're still making it, but it's not as easy to find as it was. The old packaging used to feature two little jelly tot people with musical instruments, I think.
