LIGHTWEIGHTS!!!! In the late 60s my practically impoverished grandma lived in South Bend, Indiana. The only groceries she could really afford were damaged or out of date products, or samples. She used to bring home a carton of these plain white cardboard cereal boxes with stamped black type in Helvetica that read "Post Oat Flakes". No graphics nothing. Post was test marketing the cereal for years before releasing it to the general public. I ate Post Oat Flakes out of the white box for YEARS before it was released to the general public. I got so addicted at Grandma's house I begged her to mail cartons to my parents in Louisville, Kentucky. I would have happily paid for them with my own paper route money, but my parents sent her the money. Within DAYS I had all my siblings addicted to Oat Flakes. Then they were finally released and hit the shelves locally. As myself and my many siblings went off to college they spread the gospel and had whole dormitories at various universities addicted. I myself went to college in England and had Oat Flakes shipped to me there. I've managed by hook or crook to procure PFOFs until they stppped making them in the 90's. I know a lot of you out there are feeling the pain,...but please, a little respect. I am was Oat Flake KING!
