Even as a kid I really liked Fortified Oat Flakes, and I was a sugar cereal junkie (Cap'n Crunch, etc). As I got older, and started having cholesterol and blood sugar problems, I started eating FOF regularly. And then, I couldn't find it anymore. I did, however, discover a superior alternative: Quaker Toasted Oatmeal with the oat clusters. The flakes tasted almost identical to FOF plus it had those oat clusters, which I love. Unfortunately, Quaker felt they had to *improve* it by adding maple or some other flavoring. They ruined it. A few months later, I couldn't even find it anymore. You know, supposedly every company learned the lesson of Coke's cutback on advertising. Unfortunately, they haven't learned the lesson of New Coke. "New and improved" isn't always better!
