My mother bought me the no-bangs version of Belle as a reward for my good grades. I think that I got the Beast doll shortly thereafter. I pestered my father until he got me the Sleeping Beauty doll, but she was the only Sleeping Beauty doll that was in the store, and I was disappointed by her sort of thin hair; the sight of that doll has always reminded me of the fact that my father bought her for me in order to shut me up. I got the Aladdin doll AND the Jasmine doll; I'll never forget about the fact that I had fun deboxing Aladdin when I was recovering from a super bad case of Strep Throat. I got the Snow White doll during 1993. I got the Village Belle doll, too. I got the Cinderella doll from eBay during 1999 (?), and I got The Giant Genie from eBay during 2002 (?). I'd love to get the bangs version of Belle, Prince Charming, Prince Phillip, and some of the outfits, etc. WARNING: The faces of some of the Belle dolls have yellowed, and darkened, with time. I had to throw Aladdin away because his entire head was sticky as heck. In addition, I had to throw the 1998 Peter Pan doll away because HIS head was sticky, and I had to throw the 1994 Alice doll away because she had a bad neck split! These Disney dolls AREN'T aging well... NOTES: My Disney doll collection (especially my Mattel Disney doll collection) is extensive, but I only mentioned the Mattel Disney dolls that were, more or less, included in the official Disney Classics Collection. I'll never forget the "Just For You" advertising booklet that arrived with the early DCC dolls. The booklet pictured promo. doll scenes for Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White (in that order), and I can still remember the fact that my mother was absolutely irritated by my habit of pouring over the photos for hours. I memorized practically every detail of those advertising photos...
