Then the flavor dissolved and so did the chemical make up of the gum, which quickly turned into melted little granules of what used to be gum that then tasted like the sole of a shoe. Why can't they make gum that doesn't lose flavor? Juicy Fruit is some of the best flavored gum in the world, but after a few seconds the flavor vanishes and it tastes like rubber.
