These were a popular fad in the mid 90s; a 3D picture of something that you had to stare at for what seemed like forever until the 3D image appeared. Some people could either see it immediately and others (like me) always had trouble!!

User Stories and Comments
The following are comments left about Magic Eye Books from site visitors such as yourself. They are not spell checked or reviewed for accuracy. I used to stare at the posters in the mall for such a long time. I loved those things!
my sister and me both got a magic eye book for christmas one year, i still love them now but haven't seen them for years
i still have 2 magic eye books and there still amazing now!
I could never see the image!
THEY ANGERED ME SO BAD
These frustrated me because I seemed to be the only freak in class who could see them in just a few seconds, lol. I always tried to teach everyone else how to do it, but it's so hard to explain! You have to unfocus your eyes, almost like crossing them...& when you re-focus them, the image appears. For me, anyway. Did anyone else have an easy time with these? Or am I really just a freak? haha.
Omg i hate books... im just in this website for a project.. by the way... try to make this page alittle more exciting to look threw!!! k thanks bye!!
Ducky, I was called a freak too 'cause I could do it realy qucik. Meanwhile, the other kids are like Mallrats "WHERE'S THE SAILBOAT!!!"
These were extremely popular when I was in 3rd grade (1999). I never could truly understand them and 10 years later I still don't.
These puzzles were great in the 90s! I think for me these were popular from 96(age 8/9) to about 99(age 12/13). They were pretty cool!
yeah i've alway been able to se these pictures very quickly but i think it helps that i can go kinda cross eyed and see the end of my nose
I've always seen them almost instantly! I stare at the one in my marketing class for, like, half of the class!
Those were cool haha! Except I could never find the 3d image lolz
i didn't get this these at first but my dad showed me how to do it some how and now i can do it instantly. just look "behind" the picture
GITITY GITITY GOOOOOOOOOOOOO OH YEAH
before there were 3D movies, this is how kids got chronic headaches
I've always been able to see them really quickly also! I can also do it with a patterned wallpaper or wood grain (it's kind of freaky to stare at your kitchen table and have it go 3D, but cool nonetheless). The scientific explanation of the 3D vision phenomenon has something to do with irises and depth perception. My dad's eyes can't see depth perception, therefore he's never been able to see the pictures. Basically, you unfocus your eyes then refocus them.
i like cheese
this stuff is so cool
I was never able to do these things. I have three of these books yet. My mom and sis can see the pics but not me.
I would try so hard, staring at the book, moving it further and closer to my face. And then my brother would creep up and hit me in the nuts while I was deep in concentration. -_-
There are a lot of these books including their Disney licensed versions. But now they have Warner Bros./Hanna-Barbera, Minecraft, Nickelodeon, Justin Bieber, 1D, Barbie, Monster High and Call of Duty: Black Ops licensed versions of these books.
