Mid-90's, these were milk caps that kids collected, all sorts of designs, kids sometimes had hundreds. you would stack them up face-down with yours and other kids, then you'd take turns hitting the stack with "slammers" - thicker, hard disks, same size as pogs. whatever pogs fell face up when you slammed the stack, you got to keep.

User Stories and Comments
The following are comments left about Pogs! from site visitors such as yourself. They are not spell checked or reviewed for accuracy. These things were such an odd fad. I remember digging through huge tubs of them with a bunch of other kids at the local craft store so that I could fill one of those platic tubes with them.
oh man, i remember they had pogs (which i think you could get out of walkers crisps packets?)and silly slammers, i was amazingly bad at this game, but my parents bought me tons of them from when they went on holiday as my present and I lost them all in a game. That was really kinda sad actually!!!!!!
oh man me my brother and sister together probably had about 10 tubes of those things! and they were so pointless...
what was the pint to those things?
i had so many of these, but being the most un-coordinated person ever, my glory was quickly taken from me
my parents got me the "official pog game" which came with 2 tubes of classic pogs to add onto my 6 tubes of regular pogs. i found the coolest slammer ever on the playground at school! it was an orange sparkly poison slammer
I loved pogs! I had a bright green tube for them, and my mom brought me some every time she went grocery shopping.
i loved these things, classic i still have about 10 tubes of the damned things ha ha
Damn thats funny i was the CHAMPION at this game i had the best time taking other kids i couldn't tell you how many kids i beat and how many i won i had thee best slammer it was this huge metal one i ROCKED! LMAO!
lol i was a younger pog player but i never let anyone win my pochontas pog ;]
I miss pogs so much, they were awesome. Caused so many fights between me and my brother
Still have mine. SO awesome. They were fun to collect even if I sucked at the actual game.
I knew a kid at school that wore his pog tub in a necklace around his neck... and we thought he was so cool!. I loved pogs, and I have no idea why. The game was stupid.
LOL POGS!!! My teacher used to conviscate them at primary school and stick them up on his wall! Then they got banned cause kids were getting into fights cause they lost them all to others! :( Awesome game!!
what in the hell is a pog????
Had a tube of these when I was a kid. Fun stuff! I'm buying a box of em from a guy locally. I'm bringin back Pogs!
I had so many of these!! I even had like one plastic tube filled with nothing but slammers. lol. Wow, what a huge waste of money.
Ahh Pogs, where kids could gamble and get away with it.
Good times, :)

hhhiiiiiii timmmmm !!!!!
I was just thinking to myself when are they going to come back again , and what did all of the vendors do with the ones the didn't sell? I used to get mine at flea markets, make ya wonder,.....lol.
P.S. I love this site, I am making a page for my scrapbook called a trip down memory lane and this is perfect for me.

btw I used to have a huge cone or whatever they were of those
Yeah, we're all jealous of your "huge cone".
its gay and stupid whoever likes it shoul get a life
We had these in my country too: only they were called "hoppies" by the kids (dunno why... O_o). I myself used to own quite a few of them, including those with designs from Dragonball, Mortal Combat, Disney movies and Casper. I still keep some of them :)).
dude. oh my gosh, that picture is off of charlie the unicorn check it out on youtube.com
Hell yeah I remember these. I had a few, but my siblings were the primary collectors. My sister had one of the big green tubes. I also remember wondering why everyone was so gaga about the "poison" slammers.
Were those star wars ones and looney tunes ones from crisp packets classed as pogs? they used to clip together, was mental for the actual pogs too
i rember playing with pogs in school i had a bunch and i played with snobby kids at school and i beat them we played for keeps and then i would get in trouble becaude their parents would say oh well this kid stole my kids pogs and then i had to look tru my pogs and give them the pogs so i quit playing
My slammer was a fat yin yang sign that had flashing red lights and sound effects!!
man i remember these my bro even had the pog maker where you could make your own. wow!
I want to see thoses pogs come back again. I loved collecting them. they should come out with them again. and make some retro and Some Hannah Montana and High School musical. wedbkinz.
what ever is spongebob and what ever else is popular today.
I remember these were a cool thing for a week or two until they got banned at school. Fifth grade for me. My friend and I actually made our own with glued together paper and sold them under the price of a regular one on the playground.
my aunti collected them..and passed down to me.i still have them because.she has the folder of star wars pogs and she has them all in this folder its reaaly cool..
I remember enjoying Pogs back in the mid-Nineties when I was in middle school, and I was enthusiastic to the point that I got into a fistfight over a slammer that had some dumb cartoon thing (I think it was "Life with Louie" or "Bobby's World", but I can't really remember.) As a matter of fact, I still have all of my Pogs, including some do-it-yourself (punch out and decorate yourself) ones that I made with a serial-killer theme.
I loved these back in the day, I still have mine. I am actually trying to track down the Star Wars Slammers from the Canada Games set of 1995 so if any one has any Star Wars Pog collections with slammers they want to get rid of leave a message here if you can.
Ugh. I remember these things. The pogs we collected were just thick cardboard disks. I wasn't really that interested in them, honestly, and only collected a few because everyone else was doing it.
My older sister had these...
I used to have quite a few pogs. I had an awesome slammer that I never let anyone use. I remember these things were so out of hand at one point when our town was still a small town community the local sporting store sold sets of them. Also I remember getting a few from cereal boxes. Anyone trying to make a few bucks by selling me your pogs?
wtf is a pog.....some kind of stupid retarded pig?? who messed with an ostrich?? wtf!!!!!!11 respect my kenny!
I agree with me!
wtf is dis stuff??/
Me and my brothers had huge collections of these. We had these space ship holders from Hardee's or something when Apollo 13 came out and we collected all the slammers. My brother had the coolest slammer and I wanted it so bad. It was metal and metallic purple with a skull with a pink rose in its mouth.
I love Pogs...I invented Pogs, I am the Pog God! YOU LOVE ME!!!!!!!!
I'm bringing pogs back in my town... Tournaments are held next week!
I used to rock at this game, until my brother would complain when I best him and I had to give his pogs back.
Who remembers Gigapets heheheh
POGS! I never really got into that game. I had a few, and envied the kids that had many, but I was too into Nintendo and Magic: The Gathering.
You could get slammers at Whataburger, and I had a bunch of Power Rangers pogs :D
I have one Pog--it's a metal slammer with a blue and black yin-yang symbol on it. I bought it back when Pogs were the things to "must have". It's been made into a necklace now.
I just loved the stars wars and looney tunes versions you used to get in walkers crisps I think they were called Tazos
My brother and I owned our neighborhood playing POGS!!!! It was like super fun!!! I actually just tried to teach my niece last summer and she loved it but it didn't seem as exciting to me anymore. LOL!
I loved POGs. I had quite a few. I was at a store in the mall the other day that sells them and i am thinking of starting up a collection again.
I had alot of these back in the 90s
I wanna go back to the 90s again lol
A POG in the bum is worth 2 in the bush.
I had (OK fine, have) a couple hundred of the darned things but never actually played with anyone. How sad of a childhood... sitting alone in your bedroom playing pogs by yourself! And I wondered then why I didn't have any friends! :)
lol I loved having these. The slammers were awesome too.
does anyone remember these?? It was a small figure with a base. Possibly a knight or something similar. Almost like a warhammer figure. It had a green round base from what I can remember, and you could open up the base and these tiny green rubber skulls/faces? were inside. You could also put these skulls around the base.
I use to collect these my mom brought ome from atlantic city I got some from the mall. classmates brought these into school. I wish they bring these back
I collected these. but one time my mom brought some on a one day trip and I lost them in the same day she gave them to me and I never saw them again
Pogs where so addictive, if they was brought back again the kids would go nuts 4 them. Could probably make them interactive somehow???
P.S. Any1 remember the coca cola spinner yo yo's u could win by finding i think it was a 'g' under the ring pull? Totally unrelated but but super cool!
This should make a comeback
Mia: I totally agree with u 1100%
I remember pog and I told my daughter what we played at school. She has no idea it's all about computers now but bought some pogs off of eBay and some official slammers bring back the good old days (",)
In use to collect all the pogs. I kept loosing them
I brought a bunch of these at my local thrift store a few months ago
