Based on Amy Tan's book about four immigrant Chinese women and their American born daughters.
    • 9. Bastard Out of Carolina
Anjelica Huston directed this excellent film about child abuse, which may not be for everyone, due to its shocking images.

Nicole Kidman gives her best performance in this satire about a woman too obsessed with her 15 minutes of fame.
    • 4. A Simple Plan
Just as good as Fargo, and often compared with it. Two brothers and a friend find a crashed plane containing $4 million dollars in stolen cash and decide to keep the money. Bad move.
    • 3. Fargo
An excellent movie about a fairly stupid man who comes up with a plot to have his wife kidnapped and then split the money with the kidnappers after the money is given to them by her wealthy father.
    • 2. Girl, Interrupted
Angelina Jolie gives an amazing performance in this Oscar-winner about a young woman who is put into a mental institution.

An overall perfect movie about the hell of adolescence, especially for people that just don't fit in. Brendan Sexton III gives a great performance as the bully, Brandon.

    • 10. A River Runs Through It
I am not even sure if this is a 90's or late 80's movie, but it is so simple and such a beautiful story about brothers. If you have a brother you are close too it really hits home.
    • 9. Payback
