Sam Raimi's best film (but his collest is still Evil Dead II) about how greed can corrupt anybody

    • 5. Fight Club
total annialism. Brad Pitt and Edward Nortong are among the best on screen duos ever

    • 10. JFK
Everytime I watch it, I pickup something new.
    • 9. A League of their own
      I like baseball....
    • 8. Legend of the Falls
A good story that got me emotionally involved.
    • 7. Titantic
Although we all knew the outcome...it was still very entertaining.
    • 6. A River Runs Through it
One of my underdog flicks and favorites of all time. Just an absolutely great story. My favorite scene is the elder Norman reflecting his years while fly fishing at the end.
    • 5. The Silence of the lambs.
I thought this was such a great movie...had it been done during the later 90's, it would probably be higher on my list.
    • 4. Jurassic Park
Even with all the pre movie hype, I still walked out of the theatre completely drained and as a satisfied movie goer.
    • 3. The Shawshank Redemption
Why this movie didn't win any year-end awards is beyond me. I've not met one person who did not REALLY like this movie.
    • 2. Sixth Sense
The best ending of any movie ever. Very suspenseful throughout and scared the living daylights out of me.
    • 1. Schindler's List
Very few movies make me cry...this and the 80's classic "The Color Purple" are the only two (except for an episode of Lassie I saw as a boy)I can think of.
I think the 80's overall was a better decade for movies, which I will also make my list. I realize a couple of these may not be on your top 25 list, let alone top 10, but these are the movies I enjoyed watching the most.

    • 10. Romeo and Juliet
Leonardo Dicaprio as Romeo and Claire Daines as Juliet. Better then Titanic by far. This is a true story of love and the fight to keep that love. " A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life..."
    • 9. Nuremburg
A riveting movie based on the Nuremburg trials in the 1940s after the holocaust. A very good movie, captivating and relistic.
    • 8. The Hunchback of Notre Dame
A great Disney movie. One to watch as a family.
    • 7. The Mask of Zorro
The masked man( or should I say men) are back and better then ever. A great action movie. Antionio Banderas was good but I thought Anthony Hopkins did a better job at portraying Zorro. If you havn't seen it yet, go rent it.
    • 6. Hamlet(not the Mel Gibson one)
A great version of the classic Shakespear tragedy. An old story very pertinant to todays society. It takes the look at the very soul of man. A masterpiece.
    • 5. Entrapment (1999)
This movie has Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta Jones. Two great actors in one great movie. It explodes onto the screen with pazazz(correct spelling ?) Forget "Speed", "Entrapment" leaves the competiton in the dust.
    • 4. Young Guns II (1990)
This is a great western, with a modern attitude. It tells the story of Billy the Kid and his gang. Very action packed. A masterful cast, Emilio Estevez, Keifer Sutherland, Christian Slater, Lou Diamond Phillips and William L. Petersen. A must watch.
    • 3. Ghosts of Mississippi (1996)
A very good movie. A tremendous cast, Alec Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg, Craig T. Neilson and many other great actors. A true story of a white lawyer trying to find justice for the civil rights leader, Medger Evers, in a 90's Mississippi. He was killed by a white racist. Deals with a subject that must be confronted and tugs at the heart. Watch it if you get a chance.
    • 2. 12 Angry Men (1997- remake of 195?)
A brilliant story and brilliant cast. The movie surrounds a jury, trying to decide whether or not a 18 year old man killed his father. There is great acting in this movie. If you like crime and law movies, then you'll love this.
    • 1. The Skulls
A great suspense flick. With Joshua Jackson, Paul Walker, Craig T. Neilson and William Petersen starring. The truth of money, greed and power.
Some other favorites of mine, I know they are not from the 90's: To Kill a Mockingbird- Gregory Peck won two Oscers for his role, does that say anything. Hello, Dolly- A all around great film. A oldy but a goody. Great acting. West Side Story- Its an absolute classic and it won 10 awardd to prove it. Such memorable songs as "Maria", "Somewhere", "Tonight" and "America".

    • 7. Event Horizon
Not funny. I don't know why, but this movie really scared me. It's also in space.
    • 6. There's Something About Mary
      Very funny!
    • 5. BASEketball
From the creaters of South Park, these guys know what funny is. It's the movie i've seen the most times.
    • 4. Lost in Space
Futuristic, space-type movies are one of my favorite kinds of movies. This had tons of things in it to make it good, the robot, the alien spider thingys, and the whole time bubble and machine thing. That kid was a genius.
    • 3. Independence Day
Just a great overall movie. Also, Will Smith is awesome in it.
    • 2. Dumb and Dumber
      Possibly the funniest movie ever!
    • 1. The Matrix
THE movie of the '90s. I actually almost didn't watch it! That would've stunk.

This movie will make you want to go out and kick the British out of your country. Mel Gibson's finest movie
    • 9. Silence of the Lambs
This movie has perhaps the best character in any movie in any time period. I should put this movie up at 1 or 2 but it is to late for that.

Smoke some weed and watch this on, you will shit yourself laughing.

David Lynch's best next to Naked Lunch. Patricia Arquette!!! This movie was intense.

    • 3. Matrix
This movie brings everything together that is good in an action movie without to many cheesy lines. Probably Reeves' only great role. This movie changed the way movies are made.
    • 2. Reservoir Dogs
I find myself still watching this movie at least once a month or two.
    • 1. Pulp Fiction

      Best Legend
I haven't seen Pulp Fiction, American Beauty, Shawshank, and didn't really watch Schindler's, so I might be missin out. I did see Silence of the Lambs and didn't love it that much. I saw Matrix.. it was good, esp. the special effects and fighting, but the story was too complicated and just boring. 6th Sense was okay, but boring until you know what, and just inconceivable how he didn't know.
