    • 10. Blind by Korn
usually i dont like when a band changes their winning formula. korn has the opposite problem.
    • 9. Down by 311
one of the only bands from this decade's top 10 that i could see making it on the next decade's list. they play any genre of rock they want

i actually give dude ranch as much respect, and more of a punker's edge than dookie. though, dookie did influence blink alot

I still can't believe how anyone can create such a masterpiece. Do the band members just sit in a room and do this? The Music so deep and the lyrics are meaningful and amazing. it's like reading a book.

The best album is Metallica's Black Album then comes Pearl Jam's Ten

    • 10. Nothing Compares 2 U by Sinead O' Connor
This song is Brilliant. The music alone is enough to depress you, but then you have to listen to the lyrics too! This is probably THE song of 1990 for me.
    • 9. Enter Sandman by Metallica
This song just kicks you in the ass! Awesome guitar riff. I remember first hearing this song in late 1991, and from the opening riff I knew that Metallica was pulling out all the stops on this one.
    • 8. Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve
I just love that repeating riff that swirls throughout this song. This song would have been right at home in the late 1960's. This was THE song of 1997 for me.
    • 7. Are you gonna go my way? by Lenny Kravitz
I have to believe that Lenny was possessed by the spirit of Jimi Hendrix when he came up with this tune. I love that guitar riff. Not the most original song in the world, but who cares? You're probably too busy singing along!
    • 6. November Rain by Guns n Roses
This is a great song! It's really 2 songs in one. The ending guitar solo is probably my favorite guitar solo from Slash. The opening of this song takes me back to 1992.
    • 5. Losing my Religion by REM
This is an awesome tune. Everytime I hear this song I'm transported back to 1991.
    • 4. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
Great song! If this was the a list of most influential songs of the 1990's then this would be at the top of the list. I remember hearing this song in October of 1991 and thinking, "man, this is gonna be huge." Little did I know how huge...
    • 3. Rooster by Alice in Chains
Wow, what a dark song! As soon as you hear those opening guitar chords you know that this is not going to be a happy tune. I remember the first time I heard this song back in early 1993. I used to sleep with my radio going. I woke up in the middle of the night and this was just starting. I could have swore I was in the middle of a nightmare!
    • 2. Silent Lucidity by Queensryche
This song takes you on an amazing journey. Very special song, from a very special time... Man, do I miss those days....
    • 1. Black by Pearl Jam
This is probably my favorite song of all time... I love everything about it. The music, the lyrics, the singing. It's all there. It's an extremely sad, and deep song. It deals with something just about everyone of us has dealt with during our lives. The loss of someone that you're in love with. The lyrics, "I know someday you'll have a beautiful life. I know you'll be a star, in somebody else's sky, but why can't it be mine?, are probably my favorite lyrics of all time. They sum up feelings that I've felt many times. This is THE song of the decade for me.

Wow, I never knew how many good songs there were in the 1990's. This would have been much easier if it was the top 50 of the 1990's. Alot of these songs are extremely special to me. They take me back in time and make me feel like I'm back in the days that were the best of my life. Others that I left off, but are still special are, Poison, "Life goes on", Janes Addiction, "Been Caught Stealing", Faith No More, "Epic", Damn Yankees, "High Enough", Extreme, "More than Words", Scorpions, "Wind of Change", Eric Clapton, "Tears in Heaven", Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Under the Bridge" and "Breaking the Girl", Right Said Fred, "I'm too sexy", U2,"One", Blind Melon, "No Rain", Aerosmith, "Livin on the Edge", Big Head Todd and the Monsters, "Circle", The Breeders, "CannonBall", John Mellancamp, "Human Wheels", Lenny Kravitz, "Believe", Pat Benetar, "Everybody Lay Down", Pearl Jam, "Crazy Mary", Stone Temple Pilots, "Creep", Radiohead, "Creep", Soul Asylum, "Runaway Train", Soundgarden, "Black hole Sun", Aiimee Mann, "That's just what you are", Pink Floyd, "High Hopes", Sheryl Crow, "All I wanna do", Enigma, "Return to Innocence", Smashing Pumpkins, "Today", Counting Crows, "round here", "Mr Jones", Collective Soul, "Shine", Oasis, "Live forever", Tori Amos, "CornFlake Girl", and Crash Test Dummies, "Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm".
