      A great song written about a sad truth: that children do runaway from home

      A classic song from THE band of the 90's
    • 3. Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton
      Such a sad song, you have to have sympathy for Eric after hearing this song and its meaning.

      The best song ever

    Honorable mention to these great songs "It's Alright" (by East 17), "Go West" (by The Pet Shop Boys), "Black Hole Sun" (by Soundgarden), "To The Moon & Back" (by Savagegarden), "Gangstas Paradise" (by Coolio) There are many, many, many more songs that I would like to put here but I wont - Just want to say that the 90's was the best decade for music and it always will be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Supposed to start a huge wave of electonica which never materialized. Even still, this song has more energy than any I can think of.

      The 90's biggest band (at least in the USA).
    • 6. My Name Is by Eminem
      Hip hop, never benfitted more from any one artist's success.
    • 5. Song 2 by Blur
      Long after the hype of the battle with Oasis, Blur comes out with Song 2, it is an instant hit, and remains a classic.
    • 4. Wonderwall by Oasis
      The biggest band in Britain became the biggest band in the world for while, in large part to this song. Still have a claim on the title of biggest band of the 90's.
    • 3. Sabotage by Beastie Boys
      The best example of mixing hip hop with rock, the whole album rocked.
    • 2. One by U2
      U2 shows that they're as good as they ever were, and that they aren't going anywhere.
    • 1. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
      A no-brainer. This song changed music. Bands too numerous to mention have Nirvana to thank for their success.

    PEople who like "Destiney's Child" (sic) should learn how to spell it, "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" and "With or Without You" came out three years before the 90's started, and many of the other songs listed came out after 2000.
