    • 9. Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers
I love Fruscante's guitar work on this. Great lyrics, memorable video.
    • 8. Longview by Green Day
Best song off Dookie, my friends and I always turn this song up and yell the lyrics and head bang away when it comes on.
    • 7. Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden
Soundgarden's long drive to the top culminated here. Awesome song, awesome video.
    • 6. Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots
As true with any song from this MTV ruled decade, the video elevates the sentiment value of the song. (And that's what these lists are about, right?)
    • 5. Today by Smashing Pumpkins
The video elevates this over other Pumpkins material from Siamese Dream. "1979" doesn't make it because Meloncholy wasn't as good as Dream.
    • 4. Paranoid Android by Radiohead
Not my favorite Radiohead song, but deserves to be on the list because absolutely befuddled me at first listen.
    • 3. Sober by Tool
Unlike anything else in the 90's, not to mention that video! Tool is unusual because they have that dark and sinister feel with a slight comic edge.
    • 2. No Rain by Blind Melon
Extremely sentimental song and video, moves up the list because of the death of Shannnon Hoon. (Morrison/Joplin/Hendrix effect)
    • 1. Jeremy by Pearl Jam
Overplayed, yet still leaves an impact everytime one hears it.

    By: Bo Deenz

    • 5. New York State of Mind by Nas
Nas changed the face of music with illmatic, and has yet to recapture that greatness, but this song was revolutionary. Dark, sinister, yet calculating. A profound awakening to American society to life in the projects.
