What are your top ten favorite songs from the 90s?

    By: Jim Billingsley
    • 10. Killing In The Name by Rage Against The Machine
    • 9. In The Meantime by Soundgarden
    • 8. Come As You Are by Nirvana
    • 7. In The Meantime by Spacehog
    • 6. Today by Smashing Pumpkins
    • 5. You Gave Your Love To Me Softly by Weezer
    • 4. Santeria by Sublime
    • 3. Roll On by The Living End
    • 2. Welcome To Paradise/basket Case by Green Day
    • 1. Roots Radicals by Rancid

The 90's, especially early on in the dead, were great years for rock and roll. There are other bands who were slighted on this list, such as 311, Pennywise, Bush, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Of A Revolution, and the Asymptotes. It's too bad the rock scene has come to this emo, rap-metal, nu metal, and post-grunge debacle.

    • 10. Ironic by Alanis Morsette
P.S eminem had no part of 90s music. If you must choose a rap song then choose one from a rapper bred on the streets like tupac or public enemy.

    • 8. Californication by Red Hot Chillie Peppers
    • 7. Let Her Cry by Hootie And The Blowfish

    By: Liz

      Has good flow to it
    • 9. One by Filter
I know it's a cover, but i think they really got it.... i don't know when the original was made, so...

    who the fuck is nirvana?
    By: Joshua D Dauble
    • 10. Epic by Faith No More
Come on, you know you love. The first band to marry rap and hardcore came out with a single-note bass rhythm and one of the best guitar solos around.
    • 9. Ana's Song (Open Fire) by Silverchair
Off the "Neon Ballroom" album, Johns proved that 'alternative' was way to generic of a label with THIS ... ONE ... SONG. Swallow, choke and die ClearChannel.
    • 8. Insomniac (Godzilla Remix) by Green Day
If you are very, very poor, buy some food. However, if you have just not gotten into early 90's music before and are starting to come around to it, go pick up the Godzilla soundtrack. Crappy movie, great music.
    • 7. Enter Sandman by Metallica
Metallica started building their fan base in the early 80's through bootlegs and word-of-mouth, but this song broke them into the mainstream with it's rhythmic intro and heavy riffs ... and it's so easy to play.
    • 6. Ravage Ritual by Zao
If you were into the underground hardcore scene in 1997, you knew Zao, and you had "Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest."
    • 5. Monkey Wrench by Foo Fighters
Ahh, Dave Grohl's anti-Courtney Love anthem. Such great music.
    • 4. Black by Pearl Jam
This is simply a heart-wrenching song, one you sing in your car while driving home after you break up with someone.
    • 3. Constellation by The Juliana Theory
This is a band you may not have heard of yet, but they're about to get huge. They released this song on their first CD, "Understand This Is A Dream" in 1998.
    • 2. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
Nirvana created a sound all their own - then, prominently turned and shoved it in the face of the world. Music has never been the same since, which is great. Nirvana took out all those crappy, over-produced and glossed hair metal bands.
    • 1. Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog
With members from Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, this song rose to prominence and made way for the new sound of Grunge, which had it's pinnacle in Nirvana.

"Catholic School Girls Rule," Red Hot Chili Peppers "Summer Song," Joe Satriani "Everything Zen," Bush The "Issues" album, Korn The "Reborn" and "The Hammering Process" albums, Living Sacrifice anything by Stavesacre

    • 6. Plush by Stone Temple Pilots
      A ladies favorite

When your girlfriend dumps you or you get fired from your job, listen to this song a couple of times and all your troubles will be over.
    • 4. Dam the River by Alice in Chains
Thins song should have been named speed. Layne Staley, best voice in rock!
    • 3. The Man Who Sold the World by Nirvana
This is the best live performance by any band ever and is nostalgic and you might ever hear.
    • 2. Man in the Box by Alice in Chains
Every time you hear this song, a rush of adrenaline rushes through your vains and makes you want to annihalate something. If you haven't heard the song(what planet are you on) watch the perfect storm!
    • 1. Prison Sex by Tool
This song is simply amazing in every aspect. It deal's with child abuse and has some harsh yet, beautiful poetry.

As you can see I am a hard rock freak. So don't be offended if your favorite isn't up here.:)
