What are your top ten favorite songs from the 90s?

    By: Jason Burney
    • 10. Riders on the Storm by The Doors
      LOVE THIS SONG>....
    • 9. Glycerine by Bush
A kewlo love song...(even though no matter how simple the music is played it's still good)
    • 8. Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin
Yeah I know...everyone loves the damn song...just a damn original song that should be left alone..
    • 7. The Freshmen by The Verve Pipe
a seldom well known band that sadly never got the attention they deserved just for the style of their "pop" songs...and one of their best singles.
    • 6. Straight No Chaser by Bush
The album "Razor Blade Suitcase" was the very first cd I ever bought in my life...and I still have it..., when I heard the song...It was the way the guitar intro and violin sounded...sounded sad...
    • 5. Coma Black by Marilyn Manson
Of course despite the fact most (including the reader) may think him a very crappy sell out...but who cares?...All I'm just looking for is the feeling I get when I listen to it...the song kind of gives a summarization of being really niave but true to the feelings of the present time
    • 4. Oh Me by Nirvana
I remember walking down the street just really having a strong feeling of apathy...and I had my portable cd player with the cd "Nirvana Unplugged"...it just felt so right explaining how I feel(not by lyrics, but by music) in the song...truly wonderful
    • 3. Pushit by Tool
I had to list this one since Third Eye and Pushit were a tie...Pushit is almost an ironic love song.(SUPPOSEDLY) but way maynard's vocals are on this...it's just too amazing.
    • 2. Third Eye by Tool
As far as Tool being my favorite band, and having a hard time to pick a song by them...The most moving one I could choose was at a tie, but Third Eye is a sort of "pink-floyd style" song because of it's length going to around 15 mintues. It's just the way the instruments weaved themselves together in one of the most beautiful transitions I've heard and creating the most unique sound I've heard maybe in my life...a damn good song
    • 1. A Long December by Counting Crows
Well when I first saw the video, I was moved by it then later about 2 years, I bought the cd and I remember listening to the song while looking out the window about 3 am while it was snowing...it's just one of the most saddest, but beautiful songs I've heard

*sighs* I still have a whole lotta of more songs...but this is the best i could come up with...in additon: Smashing Pumpkins "Disarm" "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" and "Porcelina of the Vast Oceans"...smashing pumpkins, Tool, and NIN....all 3 are my favorites
