      This is band is one of the best guilty pleasures of the 90s...not the greatest most memorable band in the world, but they sing great catchy songs. This one brings back great memories for me!
    • 9. Ants Marching by Dave Matthews Band
      It would be impossible to discuss the music of the 90s without mentioning Dave Matthews Band. They are among the only true musicians out there today, and this song just makes you feel great!
    • 8. Macarena by Los Del Rio
      Had to put it on here somewhere!
    • 7. Wonderwall by Oasis
      They may be rude and obnoxious, but as much as you hate them, you can't help but love their music! This is probably their most famous hit.
    • 6. Tonight Tonight by Smashing Pumpkins
      This song tore up the MTV Awards in 1996. This band is continually putting out great songs, and this is one of the best.
    • 5. Glycerine and Don't Speak by Bush and No Doubt
      These are two wonderful songs, and since I couldnt cut my list down to 10, i decided to include these both here.
    • 4. Time of Your Life by Green Day
      A very simple song, with only 3 chords, but it something about it just really touches you.
    • 3. Candle in the Wind 1997 by Elton John
      Probably one of the biggest hits of that year. It wouldnt be right to leave it off this list, and besides, I just cant get enough of it!
    • 2. November Rain by Guns n Roses
      Do I even need to explain this?
    • 1. Come as You Are by Nirvana
      Indisputably, THE best band of the 1990s, and this song just sums it all up. Kurt Cobain was an absolute genius.

Im going to have to include some honorable mentions, because you just cant talk about the 90s without mentioning: Alanis Morisette- anything off Jagged Little Pill Celine Dion- Its all Coming Back to me Now, My Heart Will Go on, and Because you Loved Me Hanson- MMMBop Fastball- The Way anything by Beck The Wallflowers- One Headlight, 6th Avenue Heartache The Verve Pipe- Freshmen Garth Brooks- THe Dance Shania Twain- Any Man of Mine Coolio- Gangstas Paradise and most importantly, anything by Madonna, Boyz II Men, and Mariah Carey

      beautifully constructed and organized. that dark, heavy, mysterious beat has an awesome effect.

      leader of the funk-punk revolution.

      a classic!! grunge summed up the nineties in five minutes and one second.

      perfect!! the epitomy of the beauty of rock 'n roll

      there wouldn't be KORN, LIMP BIZKIT, or KID ROCK without this song. The first mix between hard rock and hip-hop ever made.

      Ever since I first heard this song, I have been in love with it.
    • 9. Van Halen by Right Now
      This song is about the opposite of the music of its time. Most other songs are depressing while this one tells you to do something positive about it.
    • 8. Red Red Wine by UB40
      This song is great because it is very different from the other music that released at the same time. It is a mix of reggae and pop that forms together quite well.
    • 7. Killing Me Softly by The Fugees
      A great remake. The soul of this song enters into a listener everytime.
    • 6. Sheep Go To Heaven by Cake
      This song is absolutely great. Not only do the lyrics make no sense, but the chorus and title come from the Bible. What an odd mixture of sources to create a wonderful song. Cake deserves more respect.
    • 5. Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve
      Same note as #4. It gets stuck in your head - but in a good way.
    • 4. Don't Look Back In Anger by Oasis
      Something about this song can always cheer me up. The song just sounds beautiful.
    • 3. Losing My Religion by REM
      Great simple song. Not much else to say about it.
    • 2. Torn by Natalie Imbruglia
      Just indulge me with this one, I love this song. There is something about her voice. Plus, when she does that dance in the video I just melt.

      Listening to this song makes you think that music will never be that same again. It's that good!

      I was a Mariah fanatic in the early to mid 90s and this will always be my fave.

      This song is actually from this year but it HAS to be in here

      It grabs you tight and wont let go.
    • 6. White Treble Black Bass by Seargent Slick
      This is seriously the funkiest song i have ever heard

      What can I say? More perfection from Ferry Corsten.
    • 4. Cornflake Girl by Tori Amos
      I have never heard a more breathtaking piano sequence. Tori is incredible.

      The adrenaline rush created by this awe-inspiring pounder send shivers down my spine.
    • 2. Unfinished Sympathy by Massive Attack
      This song seriously makes me want to cry. Undoutedly Massive Attack's finest.
    • 1. Barber's Adagio For Strings - Ferry Corsten Mix by William Orbit
      This is amazing. The defining moment of trance for the entire century. Ferry Corsten is sheer genius.
