I think the 90's brought all kinds of music to everyone. White suburban kids listening to gangsta rap and everyone buying a flannel shirt with the grunge trend. I think the 90's will be looked at as one of the great decades of music. For the first time music retained a harmonious balance between fun and real.

These songs aren't in any particular order. In fact they're in almost reverse order. Once you've picked the best 10 songs out of 10 years, what's the point into narrowing it down more. I tried to pick a mix, but whatever.

A little too Ironic? Ya I really do think.

Off of their "Hear in the Now Frontier" album. One of my favorites from the band.
- 9. Speak by Queensryche
Just a great song off a great album.
- 8. Suite Sister Mary by Queensryche

- 7. The Needle Lies by Queensryche
The drum and guitar work in this song is simply amazing.
- 6. Eyes of a Stranger by Queensryche
Okay, this album came out in 88 but it is the second best concept album ever and deserves some mention. The best concept album ever is "The Wall" of course.
- 5. Anybody Listening by Queensryche
The best song off of the "Empire" album. Just a beautiful song all around.
- 4. Another Rainy Night by Queensryche
One of the best solos of the 90's.
- 3. Jet City Woman by Queensryche
The intro alone is enough to like this song.
- 2. Empire by Queensryche
One of the best rock (non-metal) songs ever. Kick you in the face guitar licks and very powerful message.
- 1. Silent Lucidity by Queensryche
Quite possibly the best slow song ever. Next to Comfortably Numb anyway.
Why I haven't seen this band on any of these lists is a complete mystery to me. They are one of the best rock bands ever. Their lyrics and guitar work really get my emotions going. If you haven't listened to them, you should. Great, Great band.
