    • 10. Last train to Trancentral by KLF
And another album that was great was this English duo's "The white room". May be better known in the US for "3 AM eternal" and "Justified and ancient", but this tune is like no other. Such wonderful repetitive sound and vocal effects! WOO WOO! Back to the heavyweight jam!
    • 9. Coco Jamboo by Mr. President
Yet another Euro dance act, this one from Germany. Two sweet ladies belting out refrains, while the lead man raps and sings. SUPER!
    • 8. Don't Turn Around by Ace of Base
The Swedish oufit's "The Sign" just had to be about the 90's best pop/techno album, perhaps plain album, period. I love every song on there, but this remake of an Aswad tune is undenianly THE best!
    • 7. Wannabe by Spice Girls
"YOOOOO!" Their fab debut hit, and what a catchy tune it is. I love everything about these chicks, especially the "Baby"!!!
    • 6. Say You'll Be There by Spice Girls
The darlings of the 90's. No one comes CLOSE.
    • 5. DJ girl by Katalina
"Excuse me, let me through, please!" Love those techno-synth strains enhanced by a funny story line. Dance away!
    • 4. The Grease megamix by John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John
I believe this was a UK hit back around 1992, but it took its inclusion on a 1996 "Pure Disco" compilation to get US attention. If you love those individual Grease tunes, man, you'll go BANANAS over this medley!
    • 3. Music Sounds Better With You by Stardust
Yeah, it may be the same lyrics over and over again, but the Daft Punk guys did this COOOOOL retro-disco project I just absolutely LOVED.
    • 2. Temptation Waits by Garbage
The opening track from "Version 2.0". Killer techno groove with great guitar fills. And Shirley Manson's HOT!
    • 1. Macarena by Los Del Rio
Come on, get out of that closet 'cause I know you can't fight the urge to dance it! After all it did sell 4 million copies in the US alone.

My tastes were quite eclectic in the 90's, but I didn't care too much for alternative. Just LOOOOVE those cheesy dance grooves, loads of mainstream techno, and I even liked some "teen acts" as a young adult! Rap was MUCH better in the early 90's than today. Oh yes, "Retro-rock" of the later 90's COOKED!

    • 6. Street Spirit (fade Out) by Radiohead
don't like having same band twice, but this song is a masterpiece.

      My God!
    • 4. Santeria by Sublime

number one of the 90's, top ten ever.

theres other bands, like pearl jam, the toadies, beck, the flamming lips, and even some pink floyd that should have made the list, but the songs i've listed here are what i would want to listen to from the 90's right now as i sit here.
