The one that started it all. the most influential and revolutionary song of our era.

    By: Carey Wass
    • 10. My Name Is ... by Eminem
Far from his biggest song, but man did it ever foreshadow what was to come, because now the whole world knows what his name is.
    • 9. Black Or White by Michael Jackson
Dangerous was the best album of the decade and this first single, controversial video and all was loved by everybody
    • 8. If You Wanna Be My Lover by Spice Girls
They were short lived, but they were huge. That song was so over played and everone still finds it catchy.
    • 7. Swallowed by Bush Aka Bush X
I still remember when this was voted the best video of all time by Much Music viewers at the end of 1996.
    • 6. Losing My Religion by Rem
Killer, killer song. I challenge anyone to change the station when that song comes on.
    • 5. Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio
It's embarassing, but this is the only rap song to ever be a number one song of the year. Coolio is a bitch, but he sampled the right beat.
    • 4. Wonderwall by Oasis
Liam Gallagher has the best voice in the biz. This song has such a ridiculous hook it isn't even funny.
    • 3. November Rain by Guns N' Roses
The best metal band ever, period. These guys rock like no other. They are the epitome of what a rock band should be.
    • 2. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
Believe it Rollingstone. Nirvana was huge, but they were second the hugest.
    • 1. I Want It That Way by Backstreet Boys
The "Boys" were the Beatles of the nineties. It may be tough to swallow, but it's true. No other group had as big an influence on mainstream music.

    By: Carl Pruneau
    • 10. Can't Touch This (1990) by MC Hammer
Nostalgia again. Who can't recall this song either ? Sure laugh, but still, this tune is pure early nineties.
    • 9. Vogue (1990) by Madonna
That dance, that video. Madonna single handedly changed the pop music sound with this glamourous anthem. By the way, someone wrote ''Cherish - Madonna''. It's an 80's song, you can't put it in there.
    • 8. Scream (1995) by Janet and Michael Jackson
A very good song acompanied by a breathtaking video. The same director who worked on Madonna's ultra slick Rain and Bedtime Story.
    • 7. Ice Ice Baby (1990) by Vanilla Ice
Cheesy, overbearing and laughable. Still we are talking about the '90s with such overdone productions as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It's my youth and I'm nostalgic. The Ninja rap featured in the second movie is one good example.
    • 6. Wonder Wall (1995) by Oasis
Another song made by a trashy skateboarding dude did. Man, that time was great.
    • 5. Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) (1997) by Green Day
This song is this group's pinnacle. Will they survive now, in this new decade, like Madonna is actually pulling it off ? I can't say.
    • 4. Fly Away (1998) by Lenny Kravitz
Great song, great guitar. This guy was born with the nineties and his career didn't survive through 2002.
    • 3. Missing [Todd Terry's Club Mix] (1994) by Everything but the Girls
This is a song so deeply anchored to the nineties, it's a ciment bloc. One and the other are related and intertwined.
    • 2. Thank You (1998) by Alanis Morissette
First single from ''Supposed Former Infactuated Junkie''. Her tunes are closer to her persona on this second but far less successfull album.
    • 1. Drowned World/Substitute for Love (1998) by Madonna
A unreleased single out of Great-Britain, a fan favorite. Nothing exceptionnal for casual listeners. This song reverbs everything that is Madonna. The music is flawless.

By the way, someone wrote ''Cherish - Madonna''. It's an 80's song, you can't put it in there.
