  Most likely should be honorable mention, but nonetheless I am putting in the top ten because it just flows with the list.
• 9. Jeremy OR Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam
  Great band, great voice (Eddie), and their most recognizable song.
• 8. Crash by Dave Matthews Band
  Is anyone going to argue that this is their most popular song in the 90's?
• 7. Zombie by The Cranberries
  The most popular and unique of their repertoire of great songs.
• 6. Higher by Creed
  At one point I was sick of this song - maybe a little too popular, just about everybody went crazy for it.
• 5. Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden
  Cornell and Co's hit that will never go away.
• 4. Changes by Tupac Shakur
  Arguably the best rap song of all time. Unlike today's hip hop and Rap, this song was about life's struggles and had substance. It's really sad to see what has happened to Rap music and its focus today.
• 3. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
  90's best Song lists are impossible to complete without this one. REVOLUTIONARY - enough said...
• 2. No Rain by Blind Melon
  "IT'S NOT SANE" to remember 90's music without this ever popular classic.
• 1. Bullet with Butterfly Wings by Smashing Pumpkins
  Maybe not their best song, arguably their most popular and unique-sounding though.

  You cna listen to this song around 5-year-olds ant they'll never pick up on what it's about ;).

  This diserves a better spot than #6 but then again... so did #1-5... huh...

  This was my all time favorite song for a long time... now it's #5...

  I had to give some recognition to the music video for this one... I'd include a link but I can't find the video anywhere.

  "Beasty Boys known to let the beat... hmmmmmmmm, DROP?"

  Catchy... that is all really, however it does infact diserve a spot at #2.

  This used to play on the radio all the time but I haven't heared it again 'till just recently and now I say one thing: LATE 90's ALT ROCK ROCKS!!!

  Genius. With the soon release of the Nirvana box set, it will only prove what a lyrical master Kurt was. He is missed, but the music continues which makes you appreciate what he brought to music a little bit more. His words did a lot to define a generation.
• 9. Teenage Dirt Bag by Wheatus
  I think this bordered on the 2000's but again, another anthem that mixed pop with a touch of alternative flare.
• 8. More Human the Human by White Zombie
  Twisted, strange but Rob Zombie's music is truly amazing. This song is a must for any alternative fan.
• 7. Do You Know What I Mean? by Oasis
  Oasis, regardless of the reputation puts out great music and this song blends great vocals with great sound.
• 6. The Sweater Song by Weezer
  Just a truly fun song - superman scibbies!
• 5. Today by Smashing Pumpkins
  is it pop or is it alternative? whatever it is, when it comes across the airways I still turn it up to this day!

  Girl Power speaks volumes in this anthem! Best song to play when you have a crap day!

  I've grown up listening to Blur, since the age of 5 they've been drummed into my head by my big brother and this is my favourite!

  It's personal, it reminds me of someone, but that's not the reason why I love it so much.. It's heartfelt!
• 3. Suck My Kiss by Red Hot Chili Peppers
  This is soooo funky and I've seen it live by Red Hot Chilis and then by a cover band both were great :)

  This is amazing, messed up lyrics haha, LOVE IT!
• 1. Walk This Way by Run DMC/Aerosmith
  One of those songs that you HAVE to sing when you're bored with your mates!!

ermm Know Your Enemy by RATM... i cant remember what year this songs from, but Party On Your Pussy by Red Hot Chili Peppers... can't remember the year of Man In The Box by Alice In Chains either... God I'm useless at remembering dates lol!
