8. the Usual Suspects
Well deserved oscar for Kevin Spacey. With one of the greatest endings ever.
7. Reservoir Dogs
A movie that was almost all talk and some violent parts was the best paced movie I have ever seen.
6. Eyes Wide Shut
Stanley Kubrick's last but best movie. A great movie that explores and interesting subject.

Great Actors and Great Story.

Terantino is great in the 90's and look out for PT Anderson in 2000+

It was filmed in 1999 so I think it should count. Guy Richie!!! I mean Madonna wanted to have this guys kids...

Matt Damon is not just a great actor but a talented writer.

Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau star in a Jon Favreau writen masterpiece. It doesn't get any better then this!

10. American Pie
This movie was awesome cuz i always wondered when i'd finally get laid too. The sequel was awful (probably the worst movie i ever saw, worse than terminal velocity) and i heard they are making a third. Sequels most always suck so don't watch them if you haven't already. Just watch the first one cuz it defines the life of a loser kid in high school for the nineties, much like say anything, breakfast club, etc movies do from the eighties.
9. American Beauty
This movie was brilliant. The way the director makes suburban life out to be makes you think twice about your neighbors. The best part is Kevin Spacey lifting weights and smoking weed while he tells his wife she's a greedy bitch. Very good movie.
8. Rocketeer
Another excellent "super-hero" film. This movie also carries an excellent story line and good acting. I wish i had a rocket pack and could fight Nazis. Hell yeah.
7. Fight Club
The voice overs from Edward Norton about how messed up his character is are brilliant. This movie is so fucked up i just love it. The ending is one of the craziest things i've ever witnessed.
6. Chasing Amy
This one completes the New Jersey Trilogy. Kevin Smith knows how to tell a story. Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back were both good but don't even compare to the original 3.
5. Mallrats
An awesome sequel to clerks. who cares what the critics say, this movie is awesome. "One time my cousin Walter got a cat stuck in his ass..."
4. Clerks
Kevin Smith is the man. This movie is on nearly everyone's list so i'm sure it's been bragged up enough.
3. Dumb & Dumber
This is probably the funniest movie ever made. Jim Carrey's best. I haven't seen a movie that's made me laugh like this one does since i saw D&D.
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The Turtles are the best creation for children in the ninties. This movie is excellent. The acting isn't bad, the fight scenes are awesome, and the story is actually very serious and moving while keeping the comedic attitudes of the Turtles intact.
1. Terminator 2: Judgement Day
This is the only sequel that was better than the first. It is a pure classic and James Cameron's best film. If only he wouldn't have done titanic... I modeled my life after john conner when i was a little kid

De Niro, Pesci and Liotta: brutally funny, and often just plain brutal
5. Saving Private Ryan
the best war movie ever, the most realistic, beginning of this movie is the best part of this movie but the rest of this movie is as touching and action-packed, Winner of five Academy Awards
4. Schindler's List
very poignant, even heart-wrenching. Spielberg is very effective with the black and white, using color to make a point. Winner of seven Academy Awards, i dont believe those academy awards but this movie deserves all awards
3. Shawshank Redemption
Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman (i think this is Stephen Kings story but it reminded me 'Monte Cristo' by A.Dyuma) anyway this is very well made movie, exceptionally great entertainment
2. The Matrix
The Matrix is the most visually inventive, downright thrilling film experiences of the past 10 years
1. Forrest Gump
nothing to say, this is the best movie. This movie teaches us to live life to its fullest despite setbacks, a movie is a movie, doesnt have to be a real story! all about entertaining...

Excellent movie about people we see as jokes taking themselves seriously.
9. Short Cuts
Could have picked Magnolia but this movie gets overlooked. great movie about people living their lives and how we are all connected in some way we just do not see it therefore we think what we do won't matter.

How a romantic comedy should be.
7. Leaving Las Vegas
Nic Cage and Elizabeth Shue give great performances to a tragic yet beautiful love Story
6. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
A couple of guys just living in 1972 one of America's worst years. Film that looks to have no message does if you pay attention.
5. The Thin Red Line
A war movie that doesnt focus on one solider and the misfits around him but many soliders each dealing with there mortality. Movie's atmosphere sucks you in.

Im biased but if you a 35 or younger in 2002 this movie just makes so much sense anout how guys really are...

Academy finally giving A best picture oscar to a movie that does not follow Hollywood format

REALLY good comedy, there is a lot of laughs in this movie! If you have not seen it, SEE IT!

One of the best comedies of all time! I laughed so hard while watching this, I choked a few times.

This has the best twist in a movie I've ever seen. Bruse Willis is Very good in it.

Very good movie, I didn't think Jim Carrry could play in a drama until I saw this.... it's a little sad though....
2. A Bronx Tale
Another good mafia movie, I think it's as good as the Godfather, Robert De Niro is also in this. Chazz Palminteri is very good in it.

Very good mafia movie, I think it's better than the Godfather..... just a little... Ray Liotta is very good in it, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are in it also, need I say more?
