    • 10. Sweet Hereafter, The
Atom Egoyan, 1997 A very tough movie to pull off without being melodramatic, but Egoyan did it. If you haven't seen this movie, it is shocking, don't miss it.
    • 9. Being John Malkovich
Spike Jonze, 1999 The most original movie on my list. The comedy is right on. This will be a cult classic.
    • 8. Hoop Dreams
Steve James, 1994 Sadly overlooked. I went to the theatre to see this, upon the request of Siskel & Ebert, who both agreed that this was the greatest movie of the decade.
    • 7. Fargo
Joel Coen, 1996 This movie has it all. The Coen brothers best movie ever. Beautifully crafted, every scene is perfect.
    • 6. Pulp Fiction
Quentin Tarantino, 1994 I saw this movie 10 times at the theatre. This movie still blows my mind away. This is the movie of the 90's.
    • 5. Saving Private Ryan
Steven Spielberg, 1998 The greatest war movie ever made, slightly better than Apocalypse Now. This film is so real, and Tom Hanks gives one of the greatest performances ever.
    • 4. JFK
Oliver Stone, 1991 Awesome movie, the editing is amazing. You don't have to beleive everything that is said in this movie, you just have to watch it.
    • 3. Goodfellas
Martin Scorsese, 1990 Next to the Godfather I & II, this is the greatest gangster movie ever. I've seen it about 50 times
    • 2. Nixon
Oliver Stone, 1995 His best film yet. This film brings out so much emotion, maybe it's the editing. I can't beleive nobody else picked this movie. Oliver Stone is a hit or miss kind of director.
    • 1. Schindler's List
Steven Spielberg, 1993 This was his personal masterpiece, from the greatest director of our generation, and deserves all the praise it has received.
I have a list of 31 movies that I thought were excellent, in alphabetical order: Blade, Boogie Nights, Bottle Rocket, Braveheart, Dances with Wolves, Forrest Gump, Heat, Jackie Brown, Lone Star, Magnolia, Malcolm X, The Matrix, The Phantom Menace, Secrets & Lies, Se7en, The Shawshank Redemption, Silence of the Lambs, The Thin Red Line, Three Kings, Titanic, and Unforgiven. I can't believe some of the lists. Some people have bad taste, but most people have no taste. Live a little, there's more out there than the latest ASTEROID hitting the Earth movie. Double Jeopardy, give me a break.

    • 10. Christmas Vacation
The best Vacation movie by far. Chevy Chase and Randy Quaid are so funny and the rest of the cast helps right along. " Merry X-Mas, $h!tter's full" what else
    • 9. American History X
Ed Norton was robbed when he did not win an Oscar for this one. He was great and so was the movie. His drastic turn from evil to good was triumphant and the movie was just harsh enough to keep you from turning your head and missing the truth about our world.
    • 8. American Pie
How could i leave this out. Tara Reid, hot naked foreign exchange students, Biggs and the pie, Stifler, Finch, Stifler's mom......
    • 7. Just Cause
Powerful movie with just enough twists to keep your head from spinning off and making sure you are still with the movie. Sean Connery is good, but Ed Harris steals it with his sick irrational rants. Larry Fishburne is good as well
    • 6. Friday
DAMN! Classic movie with classic lines. The fridge seen, Smoky in the yard,Deebo, Craig seein things when he is high, need i go on?
    • 5. Rush Hour
Great combination of action, drama, and comedy. Chan and Tucker couldnt be any better
    • 4. Good Will Hunting
The Boston accents, drinking stories, playground fights, and masterbation into a baseball glove. What more?
    • 3. Saving Private Ryan
Unbelieveable power. Not too many movies can compare to it's intensity. Plus Vin Diesel doesnt end up the hero so it is a good one in my book.
    • 2. Dazed and Confused
Second favorite ever, Hilarious yet complacent and real. All these kids wanted to do was drink some beer, smoke some pot, and have sex before they become drones in the humdrum working world. They had fun and that was all that mattered to them.
    • 1. Forrest Gump
My favorite of all time and maybe the best movie ever made. There are no movies i can think of with this much power. Tom Hanks is awesome along with the whole cast. All of the quotes it yielded and sayings and what not, just a great film.
The Mummy is also great, along with Scream and Silence of the Lambs, Hopkins eyes say it all and so does his sick appetite.
