• 8. Free As A Bird by The Beatles
  They are by far my all-time favorite band and I think that many of their songs are great, if not greater than some from the '90's. I wasn't really sure if this song would count since John first started on it in the '60's or '70's, but I put it in because it was released in the '90's. I love the Beatles!!!
• 7. Always Be My Baby by Mariah Carey
  I like this one better than "Hero." It's just fun and it's for all those simple girls in love out there.
• 6. One Sweet Day by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men
  Who doesn't love this song? It touches everyone of us at at least one point in our lives.
• 5. Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town by Eddie Vedder/Pearl Jam
  Another great song by a gifted songwriter.
• 4. Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith
  And this is not just because of the movie!!! It's just a good song!
• 3. How's It Gonna Be by Third Eye Blind
  
• 2. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Kurt Cobain/Nirvana
  
• 1. Good Riddance by Green Day
  It's a great song that can apply to many different situations and memories, good and bad.

  This song almost brings me to tears when I think about it. Leaving friends and starting anew.......

  I love the Fish. Great band, and a great song. This song has inspired me to dance on many an occasion.......
• 3. Ants Marching by Dave Matthews Band
  I simply enjoy Dave's work. I was going to put "Crush" here, but then I thought it came out in 2000, so I thought I'd preserve the sanctity of the list.......
• 2. Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind
  Fantastic song! Unmistakeable opening drum solo sparks everybody I know to sing along.......
• 1. How's It Gonna Be by Third Eye Blind
  My favorite band. That's why I put them at the top two spots. It was hard to choose which to place #1.......

This was maybe the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I left off some great songs, one's that easily could have made it. I didn't know much about pop till this year, I was a little kid back in the good old gay nineties. So don't count on me for this.
