  This is kind of a scary song lyrics wise, but the melody is good and the entire eery but really powerful feeling is great!
• 9. All I Really Want by Alanis Morisette
  of course, alanis kind of began this whole angry chick music phase and was damn well good at it! jagged little pill is in my top three for favorite albums, and this song is just so amazing.
• 8. Surrounded by Chantal Kreviazuk
  I never really noticed how good this song was until I listened to it a few more times, really closely. She brought in really great instrumentals and I think Chantal is one of the most talented singers of our time.
• 7. Song 2 by Blur
  The first time I heard this song was from a beer commercial and i loved it so much! Blur is an awesome band and this song, although it's short, is one a great party song.
• 6. Porcelin by Moby
  i love this song! every time i hear it i feel like sinking back, closing my eyes and listening to it, when i ever do my home spas stuff, i always put this song on.

  again, nirvana has these amazing guitars, like at the beginning, and i love the way how it's so calm and the lyrics are great

  i love this song, i honestly think this is the or one of the best love songs in the world. i used to watch batman forever over and over so i could listen to that song again and again.
• 2. The Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers
  It's sad and depressing but the guitars are amazing, and the harmonies are great. I just don't like the whole choir part at the end.
• 1. Lithium by Nirvana
  I heard this song for the first time and I loved it so much! It makes me feel good for some reason, I'm not sure why, but it really introduced me to Nirvana, which is now my favorite band in the whole world.

  I feel this song is better then anything they did on Marchin' Already.
• 3. Sonnet by The Verve
  The Verve, how I miss them, this song has such a cool slow feel to it.
• 2. Legacy by Mansun
  The most under-rated band of all time, Mansun have such a unique style, this song has the best lyrics and such a cool video.
• 1. Design For Life by Manic Street Preachers
  The best Indie Anthem of the 20th Century, bar none. My Favourite song of all time.

The 90's was the decade for English Indie - the best. 2000 onwards looks like American Indie - Metal - Punk, good but English bands do it better!

  Just an entire generations anthem and only 3rd in my list cause the ones above are better written an have more epth in the lyrics,...but nonetheless a great Rock N roll song and efinetly the bEST rock band out of the US
