Now dont get mad at me here. The reason I put this song on the list is because it was THE song that not only but BSB on the map, but it put boy bands as a whole on the map. It was the first boy band song that got any respect (even from males!). Even the most avid anti-boybanders could appreciate this song! Absolutely killer ballad here!

I wouldnt be surprised if many of you have never heard this. When this video came out, it made accomplished things of giant proportions. That's right. This song was THE pioneer song of 90s rap. It came out when I was in second grade, and even the most clued-out nerds (like myself at the time) knew this song. This one paved the way, people.
- 2. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
People, this song alone started the grunge movement in the 90s. I think the song is great, but for many people in the 90s, it was simply a way of life!
- 1. My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion
Hey folks, im just making this list based on the popularity of each song. Having grown up in the 90s, i can honestly say that among my peers, this was THE song of the decade! There was not a girl in the country who didnt play this song for hours and hours on end...not to mention that this song accompanied the greatest moneymaking film of all time...once again...SONG OF THE DECADE...PROPS CELINE!
People, thank you for taking the time to look at my list. CHECK THIS OUT---all the other lists here are people's personal favorites...of songs that may never have even reached #1. The list i have made reflects my honest opinion of the songs that me and all my millions of peers in the 90s wanted to hear the most, or the songs that started movements or even ways of life. The following 10 songs were the 10 that everyone who grew up in the 90s just accepted as part of popular culture...at the least!

- 1. Bed of Roses by Bon Jovi
True Rock Ballad, Bon Jovi has passed the test of time, proving that they are an band with longevity and continue with their commercial success.
The only sad part of the 90's musically speaking, would have to be the emergence of grunge rock, thrash, death metal, industrial. These aren't music, just noise, and bad noise at that. The worst thing to come from the 90's would have to be Marilyn Manson. Kids have always turned to music, and Manson puts out the wrong image to kids. Music should be positive, and provide a good influence upon young minds, but when it is used to promote death, murder, suicide, it is no wonder so many kids are growing up with the wrong ideas and choose a path that leads to destruction.
