Hey, they may not've written it, and they may've got into trouble for using the symphonic background music, but it's still a great song.
- 1. The Impression That I Get by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Ska had a period where it was big in the 90s. This song signifies that. Must've heard it a gazillion times but still turn the radio up when it's on.
I left out a lot of ska and punk and Aussie music that I like, because it will never count as "great" even if the music was, indeed, "great".

You had to know I couldn't simply ignore Nirvana. Again, I like a lot of their songs, this is just my personal favorite.

Whether they made punk more pop or made pop more punk, you simply can't ignore that what they did was a truly unique thing at the time. Love the intro to this song.
- 7. Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam
Not their most famous song, but my favorite. Also, possibly the least comprehensible of their songs.

No comment, just a good song.

Like Beck or not, this is a great song.

A great song with the most demented guitar solo I know of.

The most underrated band I know of. When I first started listening to them, I knew one or two songs I liked. Then I found out all these other songs that I liked were actually Live songs. This is my personal favorite.

Quite simply the best song from the best band.
Really hard choices there. Runners-up: Would? by Alice in Chains, Violet by Hole, Breathe by Prodigy, Creep by Radiohead, Bulls on Parade by Rage Against the Machine, In the Meantime by Spacehog, Volcano Girls by Veruca Salt, and Buddy Holly by Weezer.
