its good to see someDMX songs in the list. i was a bit surprised that oasis dont figure more in the lists. no surprise at nirvana being the most popular number one, the most influential and commercial rock song of all time. even ppl who hate rock and prefer to listen to craqp boyband shit like nirvana. something that probably has kurt cobain going mad up there in heaven. heres what i find the ,most surprising but......i havnt seen a single vote for sinead o conner - nothing compares to you. come on people.

  The song that made me love music. Thought provoking lyrics with a very complimentary voice. An early 90s classic soft rock song.
• 9. Fine Again by Seether
  Very recent song that is not getting enough respect because the band is new on the scene. These guys may be a one hit wonder, but this is an awesome song with lyrics that I relate to.
• 8. In the End by Linkin Park
  Awesome combination of techno beats and guitar, along with rock lyrics with a hip hop flavor. Great transition song.
• 7. Wonderwall by Oasis
  Great modern day love song with awesome acoustics and lyrics.
• 6. Sweet Child O' mine by Guns N Roses
  Just a great song.
• 5. Good Riddance by Green Day
  Smooth, soothing, yet powerful song.
• 4. One by Metallica
  There isn't much you can say about this song. Just puts you in a zone.
• 3. Machinehead by Bush
  Song that gets you hyped up while mellowing you out at the same time.
• 2. Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers
  Red Hot Chili Peppers's best song, and one of the best of all time.
• 1. Hurt by Johnny Cash (NIN cover)
  Nine Inch Nails's originally, but Cash made the melody smoother and sang it much better. Awesome lyrics. This song has it all.

It's pretty much impossible to name a top 10 with so many great songs. I did my best.
