What are your top ten favorite songs from the 90s?

    By: Henry
    • 10. Smells like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
I can't really leave this off. After all, the 90s didn't really start until this song was released, but I've never been a Nirvana fan, sad to say.
    • 9. Welcome to Paradise by Green Day
Oh so underrated compared to their other stuff, but I love this thing
    • 8. Santa Monica by Everclear
Haunting like my number one. It's almost too depressing to listen to.
    • 7. Unforgiven by Metallica
In my opinion, better than Enter Sandman. Great transition, what a song.
    • 6. Californication by Red Hot Chilli Peppers
All the good and bad of California, but also all of America. Chilli Peppers grown up, good stuff.
    • 5. When I Come Around by Green Day
I like mellow stuff, although Green Day does not have a bad song. And this is the best, other then that overplayed Good Riddance
    • 4. 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins
Heavy on the Base, and I personally find it their best song.
    • 3. Outta My Head by Fastball
Oh so underrated and forgotten. So relaxing.
    • 2. November Rain by Guns and Roses
Pretty long, and at some points a little too long for just a song, but that video alone makes up for it, and the solos...That second solo is possibly the most flawless, perfect solo ever crafted, a perfect fit for the somber and evil background and hellish vocals from Axle.
    • 1. Mary Jane's Last Dance by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Haunting lyrics, just all around an incredible song

That's a lot harder than you'd think at first.

The deep drum beats with an eerie guitar tune with Alanis's voice all fit together.
    • 1. Rape Me by Nirvana
The riffs, the feeling of utter self-destruction, the bass, drums, and guitar all come together. By far one of the greats.

Huge Nirvana fan, but I made myself have a different band for every song to give a good perspective on the whole 90's rock scene. I like Pearl Jam, but no one song can stick out.
