9.  This Is A Call by Foo Fightersi'm sorry...but every song on the first foo fighters album was better than anything nirvana did.  there was no bullshit, and it acknowledged its own inadequacies.
8.  I'm Looking Forward To Joining You, Finally by Ninch Inch Nailsthe lyrics are so haunting and gorgeous all at once...when he screams "can i please come with you?" you don't know where you're going but you'd be happy to take him along.
7.  Bohemian Like You by Dandy Warholswould've been higher on the list if it truly captured the 90s...but it was way ahead of its time...and still is.  one of my all-time favorite songs.
6.  Electioneering by Radiohead"i got a fever, and the only prescription...is more cowbell"
5.  Do The Evolution by Pearl Jami once heard this was eddie vedder's favorite pearl jam song...and i feel ya, eddie, i feel ya!
4.  Don't Follow by Alice In Chainsany song off "jar of flies" would suffice, but this was the album's highlight.
3.  Still Remains by Stone Temple Pilots"If you should die before me...ask if you could bring a friend"...arguably the greatest lyric of the decade.
2.  Three Days by Jane's AddictionThe build up between "til the shadows and the lights are one" and the rest of the song floors me everytime...it's so primal and genuine that nothing compares.
1.  Hummer by Smashing PumpkinsSince the moment in first heard it, I've adored every note.
 my favorite songs by the pixies couldn't make the list because they weren't 90s songs...sorry.

10.  One by Nothing Else MattersThere are a few Mettallica songs and Nirvana songs I can think of that might fit, but this is the one that truly deserves credit. Keeping "Crash Into Me" out of the top 10 was hard for me to do.
9.  Say It Ain't So by WeezerWeezer was a great band in the 90's and I wish I had room to include more from them.  The whole Blue album was incredible.
8.  Hey Jealousy by Gin BlossomsAnother song almost every guy can relate to.  Also has a sad meaning if you know anything about the band.
7.  Old Apartment by Barenaked LadiesAnother one of those great "think-back" songs
6.  Wonderwall by OasisProbably the only extremely repetitive song that I love, and I think everyone else feels the same way.
5.  Black by Pearl JamReminds everyone of a past girlfriend
4.  Time of Your Life by Green DayYou couldn't help but think about your high school life during senior year when you heard this song, whether in high school or college.
3.  High and Dry by RadioheadI was surprised not to see this on other people's lists.  Its one of those songs you can always relate to.
