By: Timotaeus
- 10. ATB by 9 PM (Till I Come)
What a summer sound! Just brings beaches, bikinis and sunshine to my mind. German Andre Tannenberger gave us this catchy dance track that a lot of people probably dont remember. But check it out! You wont be dissapointed.
- 9. Ready Or Not by Fugees
Adding amazing new mix-flavor to hiphop. The Fugees! I dont think anyone from my generation will ever forget this song. High five! Wyclef, Lauryn Hill and Pras. Went on to have great succes as solo artists.
- 8. Gone Away by Offspring
Great modern punk-rock. Enough power to ease the worst frustration.
- 7. Tomorrow by Silverchair
I love this track! Three 15-year-old australian teens blasted into my world in the mid 90's. Brings back so many memories. For some reason it has a certain uplifting feeling that makes me high on the darkest days (and the lyrics arent exactly positive).
- 6. How Do You Do by Roxette
Swedish super sing-along pop! Got no more to say, and I'm from Denmark, so its not just patriotism. The type of song that you get on your mind, cause its fantastic. I'll never forget the lyrics.
- 5. When I Come Around by Green Day
A song that will always be among my favorites. Its not that musically impressive, but very rebellious and reminds me so much of my early teenage years. I guess its called nostalgia!
- 4. Gangstas Paradise by Coolio
Biggest rap hit in my opinion. I cant diminish it, even though Coolio never really was my idol as a rapper. I heard it a million times on the dance floor back then. Old Stevie Wonder theme. Ingenious production!
- 3. Lithium by Nirvana
Best grunge rock track of the 90's! So much feeling! You get to appreciate it even more, every time you play it. Even today, more than 10 years after it hit the charts.
- 2. Michael Jackson by Black Or White
This song was undoubtedly the pop song of the decade. I remember playing it again and again at age 9. Probably dreaming I was Macaulley Culkin.
- 1. Today by Smashing Pumpkins
Probably my biggest favorite of all time. The whole impression is just plain beautiful!
Its kinda tricky, but I think this pretty much makes my Top-10. Dont think I missed any... Maybe only Cypress Hill!

- 7. Rooster by Alice and Chains
Best crafted alice and chains song, and it succeeds at the darkness it reaches for
- 6. No Rain by Blind Melon
One of the best pop rock anthems ever, with its direct up beat singing and smooth guitar playing
- 5. Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam
Never on a studio album, this is in my opinion the best song they ever recorded. Better than the anthems or the latter less commercial gems, this is to this day their set closer live.
- 4. Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog
after the death of the lead singer of mother love bone, chris cornell of soundgarden, the members of mother love bone, and new comer, a surfer/singer, eddie vedder made this album in his memory. Eddie sings back up on three tracks, and shares lead vocal duites on this song, taking half the chorus and the second verse. This was the first time grunge sounded cross over material, and is simply the best grunge song out there
- 3. Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers
It's on all the good listes for a reason. It's brillant. This is the sweetest herion addiction has ever sounded. It's undeniable.
- 2. Freedom 90' by George Michael
Best pop song of the 90's best produced arranged and written, and is denied the top honers by a song that beats it only in emotion
- 1. Lightning Crashes by Live
The best song of the 90's plain and simple. Very moving and sincere. Catchy, and including the most haunting guitar riff ever.
